Hello, congratulations on your trip to get your daughter and your beautiful daughter also. We look forward to following your journey on your blog!

If you get this message, we are also waiting to adopt Qian Li Pei who just turned 1 year old on June 8. She is a waiting child with congenital heart disease, ASD. If you wouldn't mind giving her hugs and kisses from her family and snapping a few pictures of her while you are at the orphanage I would really appreciate it!

You may check into it but I believe that Leane posted that they took a train from Qianjiang back to Chongqing and that it was only 4 hours and a very safe ride. This might be an option for you for your return trip to Chongqing from Qianjiang especially since you will have Ali with you.

Congratulations and Best Wishes for Safe Travels and a Happy Forever Family Day,

The Peters Family

I almost forgot to ask. There is also another little girl on our agencies waiting children's list. She doesn't have a family yet but her name is Qian Li Hao and she is listed as having congenital blindness. I would love to pass on any photos or information that you can find on her to our agency as well.

I know you will be very busy with your new daughter so if it doesn't work out for you to ask that is fine but in case you have time I thought I would ask.

Thanks, Elisa Peters

By the time you read this, you will already be on the other side of the world....literally.
We just cannot describe how very excited we are for you, and just as excited, ok probably more excited to finally meet Miss Ali. I hope you are doing lots of sight seeing, and of course photo snapping, and generally enjoying your time as tourists, before you become parents again.
We will likely be checking your blog a few times daily, so as not to miss the latest updates, so please keep us all as informed as you can.
We will also be among the many to greet you at the airport...I'm sure I'll be among the ones crying and snapping too many photos. Finally....you get to be the stalkee.
Hey Dave, don't forget to take a picture of your score card if you do happen to get 9 holes in, just so that Jeff has something to compete with when we get there. :)
Hope your flight was good, and we are good and tuned for further updates. Hurry Home Miss Ali!
We can't wait for the 6 week waiting period to be over....haha
xo(to Ali of course)

Well, We made it. We are in our hotel in Beijing. The flights weren't to bad. We arrived here in beijing around 3:10
p.m.Beijing time The temperature is about the same as when we left (about 32* C) .On the way over we got to take a peek
at the north pole. The temp. on the outside of the plane at that time was -57*C. We made a quick trip to a store for
some water and are ready to hit the hay. We've been up the better part of the last 26 hrs. except for a few winks on the
plane. Just a few quick facts our guide gave us. Beijing now has a population of around 17 million. Chongqing, the city
we are going o to get Ali is the biggest in the world. 32 million people are in the greater Chongqing area. The city of
Beijing now has about 90% of the worlds construction cranes. There is construction everywhere. Not so different from
home. Tomorrow is a free day for us and we are going to check it out. Should be fun. We are having trouble getting
access to our blog on this internet conection so we'll keep journaling every day and post when we can.
please pass this along to the people who are interested.
